For Travis...

My big bro Travis keeps pulling my pigtails, and as I was looking through some old pictures (I really do mean old.. some of the pictures I was looking at are of me as a very wee lass!), I came across this one and it made me think of him.

Wasn't I just adorable? Come on now, I can hear you say :"awwwwwwwwwwwwww!". Until you get a look at what my mother felt could pass for appropriate little girls footwear! (ACK!!)
Yes dear readers, THOSE shoes are most likely what is at the root of my passion for shoes...

WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!! Hey I just thought of something. Now I have an excuse everytime I walk through a shoestore! It's therapy! Can I pass off a Jimmy Choo purchase as a medical expense on my income tax do you think? Will my insurance company cover that? Hmmmmm.. better have a look into that. Maybe I could write-off the Richmond trip since Pia, The Chicklet and myself did have a look at lovely shoes... If there are any Canadian Tax Specialists out there please drop me a line, I'd be interested in discussing the finer points of those lovely forms we fill out every spring. You can impress me with your wizardry with numbers. I'll ooooh and aaaah as you explain some obscure tax law for trappers and furtraders.

In order to make amends for the ickiness of what looks like junior army boots *shudder* I'll have to find a lovely shoe, something with a nice open toe, or something strappy .. anything that actually shows off the ankle. Yes folks, you couldn't tell by that picture, but I actually have ankles (and WTF with the socks???)

Want to know what else disturbs me? They propped me up on a ledge! Travis, here's a paper bag... breathe dear.

Don't ask me HOW I ended up on this video.. but Travis, your knee thingy is SO much better!

Love you more than my luggage!
Hugs, smooches and gropes!

The shoes!! THUMP THUMP THUMP!

Now the key to a proper knee thingy is to avoid the white rhinestone jump suits at all costs. That shit didn't even work for Elvis!

The right way to do a knee thingy is to select a leather jacket that flips up and shows off the onion to great effect with each spin. The levis must frame said onion and breath with each bend. And one must have exquisite timing to know when to throw a soul twitch, a hop jig, or a left leg swing with extra thigh action.

The pig tails! Oh my! I must tug them!

Blogger Piacere said ... (7:19 AM) :

Put Chicklet in some pig tails and I see TWINS!!!! Oh MY!!!!

I feel certain that Trav can do the knee thingy better than Donny et. al. - no comparison!!!

If you figure out a way to write-off the shoe excursion on your taxes, puh-leeze let me know...I'm heading to NY this week and I feel the NEED for MANOLO BLAHNIK!!!!!

SMOOCH!!

The shoes.. I think I had those shoes...mom put you in BOYS SHOES!!!!

Now the other picture...trying to not point to it, but that little leg action you have going on is very 'showgirl' lol

The ankle straps....well, I know this was for Travis of course...but
THUMP

OH, and I have seen your ankles and yes you have them and yes they should never be covered...

SMOOCH

Hey Ann? If You can get FootTech to make orthotics to fit in those shoes, You may be able to justify them to the Taxman ... or maybe that's just wishful thinking. Dayum ... the Osmonds. How scary was that? What's scarier was that while the video was playing, the kiddo was dancing to it.

Blogger Travis Cody said ... (9:34 AM) :

I was focused on the pigtails in the first photo, but I have to agree with Vinny on this one - those are boys shoes and it looks l ike boys socks too!

I will say you had the color coordinated ensemble though.

**tug**

You know Bond is going to have a heart attack over this post as you have not only mentioned the word "shoes" but you have also used a visual aid.

LOL.

Blogger Sparky Duck said ... (3:30 PM) :

Now, if I was mean, I would say you were very cute, what happened?

but, I did not say that, it is what I would say if I was mean. And no one can explain the shoe thing to me, besides it being therapy, or there right as a woman. *shrug*

Blogger none said ... (3:51 PM) :

We must be around the same age, I think I had those shoes.

Cute pics!

Blogger Vinny "Bond" Marini said ... (5:02 PM) :

The shoe thing' Sparky????

What is there to explain? Women's shoes are, for the most part, HOT. You can not tell me that you look at that picture above and do not get a ripple running through your body?

There is absolutely NOTHING in the world like a well shaped woman's leg encased in a beautiful shoe...the calves and ankles, well shaped...the knees a thing of beauty...any thigh that might show in their outfit...

NOTHING like the beautiful legs of a woman....

OK, I am going back to my corner now and whimper....

Blogger Julie said ... (10:59 PM) :

Awww you're just too precious then AND now Sweet Ann!

Good to see those "way back" pictures!

Blogger Meribah said ... (9:49 AM) :

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, you were just adorable!!! And I didn't even notice the shoes you were wearing until you mentioned them! Hugs! :)
