Je me souviens...
I remember my sisters... December 6th, 1989 A young woman walks out of her classroom unaware than kilometers away, in a university she is considering applying to after college, women are being hunted, killed, terrorized... because they are like her. Women. Bettering themselves. Learning. How does this happen in my country? In the spirit of the women killed as they were enriching their minds... please donate. Love you all more than my luggage! Hugs, smooches and gropes! Labels: École Polytechnique, remembrance, sadness, violence, Women |

It's so crazy. They had a mall shooting in Omaha just in the past couple of days. Although he targeted both males and females. Sickos.
Sigh....I so respect you for keeping this memory alive...
Ann..always a purpose, always a reason. That's why you are so special.
Tragic. Absolutely tragic.
It's terrible that Universities do not take security seriously. We have had several rapes on a local campus. The rules prevent the women from arming themselves and the campus security won't escort them to a distant parking lot at night.
Colleges are helpless victim zones and all cowardly killers know this.
well done. bravo!
Charles: I thought it ironic that the shooting in Omaha would coincide with the anniversary of the tragic killing spree here. This will stay with the families forever...
Vince: This is an event that had a great impact on my life... I'll never forget them.
Julie: I just let the post come to be.
Songbird: It was.. and with every shooting, we relive it.
Hammer: It's difficult to strike a balance between safety and people's freedoms. Institutes of higher learning are places of emancipation, and yet for some, they become death traps. The sad part is, this happened at the end of the day ... right in school... this sick bastard wasn't lurking, he actively hunted and targeted women, sparing men in the process.
Bud: Thank you my friend.
Hugs.
As you said 'how does this happen?' and also why?
What a senseless tragedy indeed.
Travis: Thanks.. needed that.
Jeff: It left a mark and I carry them with me always. I hope their deaths weren't in vain.. and I always think of the ones they left behind at this time of the year.
Roger: I like to think the spit he's roasting on in hell is torture.
I love life, but sometimes I just say to myself, "Human Beings suck." Cheers Anndi!!
This was a terrible tragedy, as was the mall massacre in Omaha, but we must not let ourselves become bitter or let our hearts be filled with hate. Hate breeds hate and eats through our souls. Instead, we should be willing to forgive and allow the wounds (either physical or spiritual) to heal. Hugs.
I think the families of those women would be very touched and pleased that you keep their memory alive.
It's lovely knowing you.
How tragic. Sad, sad, sad.
Anndi hope ya had a great weekend! :D
Matty: Sometimes they do...
Meri: well said for a puppy!
Turnbaby: even if I triend, I'd never be able to forget that day.
Wayne: *sigh* yes...
Roger: yessir I did! Thanks!
:hugs and kisses:
