Tuesday tissues...
I'm not kidding, you better crack open a new box... I was looking through old pictures (it was a snowday...) and I came across pictures of the time I took the Chicklet to see The Nutcracker when she was about 4 years old (she still has the ballet slipper we got that night)... And I started thinking about the musicals I had seen at The Place des Arts (where I actually had my B.A. commencement ceremony)... and I remembered being a student and sitting in the back at Les Misérables. Have you ever felt like the world disappeared, have you ever wondered what it's like to float? As if your body is suddenly no longer your own and you are lifted and transported back in time simply by listening to a song? That's how I felt when I heard this... This is the song I was looking for... As I said, I was looking for Les Misérables and Jean Valjean, but first I found this song... I'll give you a minute to, um... what is it that Vince says? Oh yeah, tired eyes... There isn't an evening that goes by that I don't ask God to spare families the pain of losing a father, a mother, a sister, a son, a friend to war... There isn't a day that goes by that I don't hope for PEACE... There are too many days where children don't eat to their stomachs content... My Chicklet sent me an e-mail today (she's discovered how to e-mail me...) and asked me what I want for Christmas. I want PEACE LOVE For children everywhere to go to sleep on a full stomach, knowing someone loves them... Please help, show them someone cares... Love you all more than my luggage! Hugs, smooches and gropes! Labels: bring him home, Colm Wilkinson, freerice, hunger, Jean Valjean, Les Misérables, peace, war |

I want to take mine to see the Nutcracker but holy god, the tickets got expensive!
I'd rather sit at home anyway and score some free rice for people who need it.
My kid, Matthew, plays that game for hours to get rice. People in need break his heart...
*sniffle* Thanks for the warning.
Les Mis is my favourite musical of all time. And nobody captures the role of Jean Valjean like Colm Wilkinson.
Honey child, we all pray for peace for this world of ours. I just hope that one day it's answered.
HUGS honey.
What a lovely post Anndi. xx
yup tired eyes... beautiful song at the end... will have to try and get back for the videos later...did you finally dig out?
SMOOCH
Amen my friend. I am so tired of this damn senseless war and so angry about it.
Valjean. Nothing I mean nothing better
Aww that dear Santa gets ya! so dose the song!! I hope you Christmas wishes come true!!
OK, watched the videos and even went and posted a thanks to the woman who posted it...I will be stealing it for my Christmas post...beautiful...touching and now my eyes are very tired...
Bring them home safe...and whole....mentally and physically
Always touching...thanks Ann.
That is the song, isn't it? And Colm Wilkinson has one of the most beautiful tenor voices. I wish I'd been able to see him live on stage.
Kyra: It was worth every penny, but then I only had one kid to take...
You and Matthew rock!
Angell: You were the one who told me I should put warnings I think! LOL
It was one of the most moving experiences of my life.
If enough of us ask... maybe...
Akelamalu: Thank you... lovely to have you stop for a visit.
Bond: We did... kinda wish we hadn't LOL.
Fabby: I support the troops 100%, but I hate that they are not in the arms of those that love them especially during the holidays.
Sparky: Few voices reach into your heart and souls like that one...
Roger: It really does, doesn't it... HUGS
I think that's what most of us want, dear Anndi, and we will get it...someday. We just have to have faith! Hugs. :)
